Warning: British English has a very different definition for these words. Although it is not that common today, bummer means homosexual males in British slangs.

meaning: I understand

meaning: goodbye

再见

Don't take this one literally. Saying "see you later" is not a commitment to meet again. It's just a casual way to say goodbye.

对于这个句子,不能仅从从字面上来理解。这个句子并不是表示允诺会再次见面,而只是一种很随意地说再见的表达。

"Well, this is it. Tomorrow I board a rocket to Mars, never to return."
