过去一般时代替过去将来时的情况讲解
过去一般时：过去一般时用于表示过去发生的动作，或者存在过的状态、特征、身份、性质等。
过去一般时常在从句中(特别是在状语从句中，有时是在宾语从句中)代替。

他回来时会很惊讶的。
自然：Hewould be surprised when he came back.
别扭：Hewould be surprised when he would come back.

那是一个寒冷的冬夜。整个村庄都很寂静没有狗叫没有婴儿的哭声， 也没有人在外面走动。只有一家人的灯还在亮着，其他人家的灯都灭了突然一声枪响( a gun shot)，打破了全村的寂静，狗也叫了起来。
