托福阅读备考要了解评分标准

2016年托福阅读评分标准:新托福阅读考试共三篇文章,每篇 12-14 道题,如果遇到加试时从考试的五篇文章中随机选取三篇计分。在这三篇文章中所有回答正确的题目数量加起来就是你的“total points”。 除重要观点题和归类题以外,每道题的分值都是 1 分。重要观点题的分值可能是2分。归类题为 3 或 4 分。考试所得分数范围::0-30 分。

新托福阅读部分内容变得更加学术化,其涵盖的题材也更加广泛,包括了历史、科学、教育、商业、社科、艺术文学、工程技术、体育文娱 8 个方面。此外,阅读部分还出现两种新题型:“插入句子题”和“拖动选择的多选题”。

托福阅读备考要了解题目类型

各类题型特征及解题方法:

(1)词汇题 问法:The word/phrase _X is closest in meaning to____

(2)指代题 问法:The word they/ their/ it/ its/ some in the passage refers to

(3)事实题 问法:According to the passage, what/ which/ why/ when?

(4)推断题(需要精确理解) 问法:What can we infer from the passage? 注意:既然是 infer, imply, 就一定不是原文中明确说出的,而是需要我们通过阅读文章,有根据地进行推测得出的结果。

(5)举例说明概述题 (例子的作用)

(6)插入句子题 讲选项中所给的句子放入原文的某个位置,注意:这一部分需要我们分析文章段落和句子间的逻辑关系。

(7)句子要点题 问法:which of the following best expresses the essential information in the highlighted sentence?

托福阅读备考要规划好时间

不管是以上所说的哪种类型的题目,其目的在于考察考生的英语能力,所以,如果考生能够提升自己的阅读能力,并熟悉托福阅读的题型,则阅读得高分甚至满分都是有可能的。一些投机取巧的解题技巧,虽然一定程度上有可能帮助我们作对题目,但是本文中,小编想要提供的是如何提升自己的英语能力的建议,而非教授大家应试技巧。

(1)时间分配:6~8min 阅读文章 即 100~120words/min,12~14min 做题。

(2)屏幕阅度训练。

(3)逻辑分析能力训练:

“阅读理解” 是什么意思?即在一定的词汇和语法基础之上,对文章中观点的属性和关系进行认知和分析的过程。

托福阅读中,如果我们能够把握句间和段落间的逻辑关系,这对于我们更好地理解文章内容,是有事半功倍的帮助的。而逻辑关系,首先体现在词汇和短语中,例如:

(4)有效阅读:避免信息遗漏 mental framework 形成思维框架。

托福阅读备考要用对复习方法

(1)句子分析:在我们已经足够词汇量的基础上,想要理解阅读文章,首先得理解句子,因为句子构成段落,段落构成文章。而理解句子,首先要学习英语语法。

句子类型:

简单句(只有一套主谓结构:我和你都喜欢唱歌和跳舞) 并列复合句(多余一套主谓结构:我喜欢唱歌,你喜欢跳舞) 并列复合句连词: fanboys=for and nor but or yet so not also 主从复合句:主语从句、表语从句、宾语从句+定语从句 状语从句 同位语从句

修饰限制的成分:

定语(后置和前置) (非谓语动词的逻辑主语)

状语:修饰非名词性成分。分词性短语、介词性短语、副词、不定式、独立主格 同位语(the city of beijing)

插入语:不影响句子和结构的插入成分。

标志词:that is, that is to say, what's more, to tell you the truth, frankly speaking

倒装句:

完全倒装(语义要求):

部分倒装(语法要求):

比较句中的倒装 eg. I run faster than does Alex (do). I love Alex more than does Jerry. I raise more pigs than does Alex. I raise more pigs than you do. (代词不需要倒装)。 强调句(不强调形容词和动词):It is+强调成分+that/who+其他成分。

非简单句的常用关联方式:

fanboys=for and nor but or yet so not only … but also

(2)有效地做阅读笔记:做阅读比价,可以帮助你形成思维框架——思维导图;同时,当信息张力形成之后,你对知识的记忆便是随之而来的副产品了。下面是一个思维导图的例子:

新概念及局部核心概念

重要的逻辑关系——符号化(因果、递进、解释、对比、转折)。例如: Drier climatic conditions→desert areas↑ 意为,干旱的气候导致了沙漠区域面积的增加,→ 表示因果关系,“导致”,↑ 表示“增加”。如果我们能够有一套比较科学的记笔记的符号和方法,那么,我们在阅读托福文章的时候,就可以高效地阅读文章并理解文章内的逻辑关系。
