Some people go through life standing at the excuse counter.
They say they’d like to do this or that, but then they offer all theexcuses in the world for why they can’t do whatever it is. No matter what theexcuses are, the only thing that is usually limiting them is their ownself-perception.
If I’ve learned anything, I’ve learned that a person —any person —may doanything they set their mind on doing. The things you need are willingness towork for what you want, patience to learn what you need to know and, mostimportant of all, belief in yourself. You only need a seed, and then your faithin yourself will grow with you as you move forward.
If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something becauseyou’re not smart enough, then take the time to learn what you need to know, andthen your self-perception will change.
If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because younever finish anything you start, then go and finish something and change yourself- perception.
If your self-perception is that you’re too lazy, too busy, too unworthy,too unfocused, too depressed, or too dependent on others to accomplish greatthings, then you’re right. You are that because you believe you are, but infact, you can change that! Life is change, and the past doesn’t equal thefuture. Your reality today is the result of your past beliefs and ge your beliefs and actions, and you will change your future. Whether youthink you can or you can’t, you’re right. You are what you think.
Think about that the next time you need an excuse.

I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as areminder that the future can be anything we want to make it.
We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything thatwe can imagine, just like a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reapa good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminatedby the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all beconcerned about the future because that is where we will spend the reminder ofour lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The futureis before us and dynamic. Everything we do will effect it.
Each day will brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in ourbusinesses, if we will only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of theprogress in every field of human endeavor.

I have a few candles stored in a drawer in my dining room. They’re meantfor romantic dinners and special occasions, but since the arrival of our threechildren they have lain unnoticed among the napkins and other things. They arewaiting to be taken out and lit to share their glow with anyone who will takethe time to bask in their brilliance.
Are not our souls like those candles, patiently waiting for someone to comeand let us be ourselves? We are all waiting for our own moments to shine; weeach have a special light, unmatched by any other.
Candles are made up of wax and a wick; we have bodies, but our essence liesin our minds and souls. Candles are unique in their colors, shapes and life histories and experiences are the backdrops of who we are, but ourminds are like candle wicks, and make our passions flame. Unlike the candles inmy drawer, who get used or not used depending on my whims, we control our ownthoughts, and how brightly we will burn or dimly we will shine.
Is your soul candle dimmed by circumstance or lack of passion anddirection? Is it hidden in a drawer of stress, worry or resentment? Make achoice to let yourself shine the way you were meant to shine.

More often than not we have the ability to achievemuch greater things, but we get caught in the average things in life and wasteour potential. Each one of us has immense ability. But most of us fail to useit. Why?
1. There is no exact purpose for your life.
2. You underestimate yourself.
3. You are too busy to think about any-thing.
4. You are in a comfortable zone.
5. You fear failure.
Ask yourself, what difference am I making in the lives of others? Would yoube happy and satisfied with what you have achieved? Are you following yourpassion? You must find what you love and what gives you fulfillment.
Don’t be afraid to make a new beginning. Go deep and explore thepossibilities. As you go deeper and deeper, you begin to add meaning to yourlife.

Compared with the forty year old shabby dormitory I am living in now, theone I lived in for three years in high school was heaven: three students sharedone brand new suite with air conditioners and a bathroom.
In three years time we changed it color of the floor turned from brightpink into muddy gray, and the closet a hive of insects proliferating among pilesof rotten our masterpiece was the bathroom, a never drying swamp whichserved as the habitat of various kinds of mold, and even rodents, rats wouldoccasionally take the trouble to pay us a visit, and.., all three of us feltlike sobbing when we at last had to say good bye to our lovely filthy e it is because that the dormitory had changed us as well as we'd changedit.
The first lesson our dormitory taught us was to look after kly speaking, we were not good students at all. I still remember theunderwear that was soaked in soapy water for one and a half years before it wasfinally thrown away. Almost each of the boys' dormitories had graduallydeveloped its own unique "fragrance" usually a mixture of rotten fruit, unwashedsocks, stunk towels and some junk food. We could tell one dormitory from anotherby sniffing instead of looking. Our tolerance towards untidiness wasamazing.
However, in spite of all this, we really did make some progress. Bit bybit, we started to wash dirty clothes before they stunk, cleaned the garbage binwhen it could hold no more trash, we even used brushes in a not-sc-successfulattempt to refurbish the floor. The point was that we were not obeying anyorder, we did every bit of the cleaning for ourselves, because we wanted to livein a better place. Though nothing we did could be called an achievement, it wasthe first time we fully bore the consequences of our behavior, and took theresponsibility.
Thus it was not surprising that I often found myself the only one to cleanup my university dormitory which looked no better than a garbage bin when myroommates felt normal of it.
When talking about our dormitory life, and probably all the dormitory life,we should never leave out one thing. This was what we called "bed talks". Thoughit was considered "illegal,"there was nothing to stop us from deliberatelystarting a heated discussion right after lights were out. It was our favoriteand the only way of ending our day, and we were as punctual for it as ourparents are for work. What was the most common topic?Girls, of course! Whatother topics were there for three energetic adolescent males lying comfortablyin bed? We judged them,ranked them, argued over them night after night withoutfeeling the slightest sense of boredom for three whole years. Were we
maniacs? Who is not a maniac at eighteen?
