克林顿蒙古讲话强调民主对经济发展的作用

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is in Mongolia on an Asian tour aimed at promoting democracy and greater U.S. economic presence in the region.

Clinton on Monday addressed the International Women's Leadership forum being held in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.

She emphasized the benefits and importance of democracy for economic growth, stressing that one without the other cannot last.

Clinton also held talks with President Tsakhia Elbegdorj.

Clinton will also make stops in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam this week before leaving the region.美国国务卿克林顿正在蒙古访问。她此次亚洲之行是为了推动民主以及扩大美国在这一地区的经济活动。

克林顿星期一对正在蒙古首都乌兰巴托举行的国际妇女领袖论坛发表了讲话。

她在讲话中强调了民主对经济增长的作用和重要性，并指出没有民主的经济发展不可能持续下去。

克林顿与蒙古总统额勒贝格道尔吉举行了会谈。克林顿本星期还将访问老挝和越南，然后返回美国。
