学生如何上网交友的英语作文篇3With the developing of technology, one of the most controversial topics in our modern society is whether or not children should be allowed to make friends online- personally, I don't think that making friends online is very beneficial as it has numerous drawbacks and dangers.
There are certain advantages that come with making friends online- a child can interact with people their age from different countries and share their ideas. However, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages to a great extent.
Firstly, the internet is a mask for online predators who hide behind a computer screen seeking for victims. As a child lacks the sense of judgement, it is easy to overlook clues as to whether or not a online user is their age- they can be tricked into doing something dangerous without even realising it; if they were to set up a meeting with a 'friend' they met online, who's to know that the person is actually a 30-year-old adult as opposed to a 8-year old boy? This makes kidnapping extremely common. Secondly, most children do things on the internet that their parents are not aware of, and may become a subject of cyber-bullying.
In conclusion, whilst there are certain advantages in making friends online, I firmly believe that children should refrain from doing so as there are many dangers hidden in the internet.
