  孝敬父母英语作文篇一

Be obedient to parents. As children grow up, parents begin to mold their disciplinary and emotional qualities by setting rules and requiring chores. Children can honor their parents by following the set rules in the household and completing chores on brate important dates in the parent's life. All parents have birthdays, anniversaries and holidays (mother's day and father's day) that are important to them. Children can honor their parents by remembering these days and doing something special. For birthdays and holidays, give personable gifts, within your budget, that show appreciation. Even homemade cards, clothing and other crafts will mean the world to your affectionate towards your parents. Exhibiting affectionate behavior tells your parents you love and appreciate them for all they've done. Say ;I Love You; during phone calls and other opportune moments. Give your parents hugs when greeting them, and say ;thank you; occasionally. A parent will feel loved and honored upon being showered with sincere affection.

“Enough! Enough!”I said when Father and Mother were still giving me more fish ad meat. My bowl was piled up like a little hill.

“Don't study too late into the night. Do be careful of your health. Have you had any examinations recently?”Father asked me in great concern.

My face turned red. I didn't dare to give Father an answer. I hadn't made any progress in my studies. I did badly in all subjects. I only got 60 for maths and failed in physics.

“It doesn't matter. Try to find better study methods and to work harder. I am sure you can enter a college!”Hearing these words, I bent my head down. What a kind father! He didn't scold me, but encouraged me instead.

“Have you used up the money I gave you last night?”With these words, Father was taking his wallet out.“Mother has just given me 10 yuan.”“Buy something to eat when you are hungry.”Father passed me another ten-yuan note.

Should I accept it? Father and Mother love me deeply. Why couldn't I get god marks in exams? Tears came into my eyes.

“Don't cry. Now I will take you to the bus stop.”As usual, Father carried that heavy bag and went to his dirty old bike.

hen we go to school, the teachers tell us that we should respect our parents. Parents are who raise us, giving all their hearts to look after us. For my parents, they are the best people for me, when I am sick, they look after me carefully. When I go home late, they will worry about me. They give me so much, I love them.

  孝敬父母英语作文篇四

The founders of a new colony, whatever Utopia of human virtue and happiness they might originally project, have invariably recognised it among their earliest practical necessities to allot a portion of the virgin soil as a cemetery, and another portion as the site of a prison. In accordance with this rule it may safely be assumed that the forefathers of Boston had built the first prison-house somewhere in the Vicinity of Cornhill, almost as seasonably as they marked out the first burial-ground, on Isaac Johnson's lot, and round about his grave, which subsequently became the nucleus of all the congregated sepulchres in the old churchyard of King's Chapel. Certain it is that, some fifteen or twenty years after the settlement of the town, the wooden jail was already marked with weather-stains and other indications of age, which gave a yet darker aspect to its beetle-browed and gloomy front. The rust on the ponderous iron-work of its oaken door looked more antique than anything else in the New World. Like all that pertains to crime, it seemed never to have known a youthful era. Before this ugly edifice, and between it and the wheel-track of the street, was a grass-plot, much overgrown with burdock, pig-weed, apple-pern, and such unsightly vegetation, which evidently found something congenial in the soil that had so early borne the black flower of civilised society, a prison. But on one side of the portal, and rooted almost at the threshold, was a wild rose-hush, covered, in this month of June, with its delicate gems, which might be imagined to offer their fragrance and fragile beauty to the prisoner as he went in, and to the condemned criminal as he came forth to his doom, in token that the deep heart of Nature could pity and be kind to him.
