Isolated finches still produce what are called innate or isolate songs. A specific tune might be taught, but the instinct to sing seems to be hardwired into a songbird's brain. Innate songs sound different from the "cultured" songs learned from other finches -- at first.

与群体孤立的斑胸草雀仍会唱歌，我们称此为本能歌声或孤立歌声。特殊的歌唱旋律是被教导的，但本能歌声似乎与生俱来就在鸟类的大脑里。在一开始，本能歌声听起来和从其他鸟类那里学来的不同。
