She could not remember that George Washington was America's first president because she drew a blank.

因为她 drew a blank，所以她想不起来华盛顿是美国第一位总统。

It's another way of saying "I can't remember something".

这是“I can't remember something （我记不起来）”的另外一种表达方法。

There's another meaning, too.

它还有另外一个意思。

If you're looking for something, but can't find it, then you "draw a blank."

如果你在找某件东西，但是却找不着，然后你“draw a blank”（没找到）。

In American English, you can use this phrase with friends or in business situations.

在美语中，这个短语在非正式和正式场合都能够使用。
