我们面对吵闹的邻居，要如何制止他的行为呢？
Hi, I live above you in 308. Could you turn down the music? I hear it through my floor.
你好，我是住在你楼上308号房的。你能把音乐调小声一点吗？我隔着楼板都能听到。
想让别人把音乐声音“关小”，英文这样说：
Turn down
调小，关小
Turn down 除了可以调小音乐声音，还可以 turn down 空调、灯光。
① Turn down 空调：
Can you turn down the AC? It's getting cold in here.
你能把空调调小一点吗？这里有点冷。
看过上面例句，大家可能会有疑问：既然都已经感觉冷了，还怎么把空调 turn down调低？
在英文中，turn down 指的是将制冷/制热的功率（或者说是power）“调高”或“调低”。
比如，现在开的是冷气，turn down 是将冷气的大小-调小，就不那么冷了。
如果是开的热风，那 turn down 就是将制热的大小-调小，所以就不那么热喽~
那么，与 turn down 对应的就是：turn up 调大。
② Turn down 灯光：
Turn down the lights. I can't see the screen.
把光调暗一点。我看不见屏幕了。
这个就比较好理解了，turn down 就是调暗灯光的亮度。
被邻居吵到了，我们还可以说什么呢？

举两个例子，口语中可以说：
① I can hear you guys through the door. Talke quieter.
我隔着门都能听见你们说话。小声点。
② My upstairs neighbors have dogs. You can hear their footsteps through the ceiling.
我楼上的邻居养了狗。我隔着天花板都能听见他们的脚步声。
