1.能用What are you doing?询问他人正在干什么，用I’m …表述自身正在干什么。
2.能初步学会用What is she/he doing ?来询问别人正在做什么，并作答。
3.创设英语情境，增强互动，激发学生的学习兴趣，使其主动参与课堂实践活动，从而体验到合作学习的快乐和成就感。
教学重点：
能听懂、会认读会询问别人正在做什么“What are you doing?”以及会用“I am listening to music/talking to my friend/reading a book.”等语句来回答。
教具准备：
多媒体课件，短语卡片，头饰。
教学过程：
一、 Warm-up
1. 师用《Hello,hello》歌曲形式与学生打招呼。(三年级英语歌曲)
(设计意图：问候式的开课，能使学生感觉亲切 。)

ride , ride, riding a bike ;
listen,listen, listening to music;
play , play , playing basketball .
(设计意图：通过简单的问候及欢快的chant活跃课堂气氛，吸引学生注意，从而激发学生的学习兴趣。同时也复习了上节课现在进行时的用法，为本节课继续学习进行时做好铺垫。)
(也可以换成11页的1唱一唱。)
二、Lead-in
创设情境导入课题，板书课题，读课题。
T:(指着一位同学做的动作)Let’s ask him:“What are you doing ?”
(生说不出时也可用汉语)
T：Today we’ll learn Module2 Unit2 What are you doing ? Show me your finger ,let’s write .(师板书课题，生书空写。)
Now let’s look at learning objectives(首先我们一起看看本节课的学习目标。)
Teaching aims学习目标 (出示后自由读一读。)
1.能用What are you doing?询问他人正在干什么，用I’m …表述自身正在干什么。
2.学会用What is Tom/… doing ?来询问别人正在做什么，并作答。
三、Presentation
1、T:What are Mr Smart’s family doing ? Let’s go and have a look.
2、出示自学提示一
(1)。Watch the cartoon , then find out the phrases：(看动画找短语。)
listen to music
talk to my friend
read a book
看完动画，快速从文中找出短语，指名反馈 ,领读，齐读。
(2)。Point and find “-ing”。
(学生找出后，问一问为什么动词后加ing。学生如果说不出来老师讲解。)
3、 出示自学提示二
Listen and answer the questions:
Q1: What is Sam doing?
Q2:What is Amy doing?
(1)。First time,listen and answer the questions.(让学生看动画，初步感知课文内容，思考问题。)
(2)。Listen again and repeat.(第二遍跟读后，再让学生回答以上两个问题。)
4、T:Mr Smart’s children are busy are they doing ?Let’s ask one by one .
(1)。看第一幅的动画，让学生与斯玛特夫妇一起问：“What are you doing ?”(多种形式问。)
(2)。Sam 听见了，音乐响起，看第二幅动画，跟读。
出示卡片listening to music多种形式读。(领读，齐读，指名读，大小声读)
(3)。练习前两幅图片的对话，多种形式互相问答(男女生分角色，指名，乐海冲浪。)
(4)。以歌曲形式(爸爸去哪里主旋律部分)导入第三幅图视频，与学生之间进行多种形式对话。
出示卡片talking to my friend多种形式读。
(5)。最后一幅图方法与上类似。
以上学习课文时，如果学生短语“listening to music/talking to my friend/reading a book”方面没有任何问题，学生已会，不需再令教短语;如果有学生出错，把短语提出来 ，采用多种形式教读，例如grow taller,up and down(大小声)，月海冲浪 ……(随机)
(设计意图：利用课件有层次、有变化地播放课文对话，检测学生对课文的理解能力。在情境中，让学生感悟、模仿和运用新语言。这样能尽量关注到四年级学生整体水平。)

(2)。分角色朗读。
(3)。分角色表演。
小组内的同学先自由选择自己喜欢的方式朗读，再展示。(个人或小组齐读，也可以小组内分角色朗读或戴头饰表演)

1.做：“口型，猜句子”的游戏，教师指着黑板上的句子说：They are┉┉，提到动词短语时只作相应的口型，不发出声音，让学生看口型猜短语，把句子补充完整。
2.请两名学生上来，背对其他学生站好，台下任意一名学生问：What are they doing? 站在前面学生做动作其余学生回答：They are┉┉”
