A：How long have you been learning2 English?

B：Oh, more than ten years. I started learning English when I was still in a primary school from a foreign teacher.

Background:

口语和聊天相比，有具有以下几个明显的特点：一是主题的明确性。面试时的口语有一个明确的中心，应试者必须按照招聘单位指定的中心内容进行论述的交谈。不像日常聊天那样经常转换话题，话题具有不可预测性，如果应聘时口语离开中心漫无边际地乱扯，或者答非所问，即使讲的头头是道，也只能以失败而告终。二是表达的逻辑性。日常的聊天往往是句式松懈、重复累赘、条理不清、颠三倒四，而求职面试的口语则必须讲究表达的逻辑性，要求概念清晰、语意连贯、层次分明、推理严密、言之有据。三是词语的文雅性。日常聊天经常使用俚语、谚语、歇后语等，具有俚俗性、俏皮性特点。而求职面试时使用的口语必须庄重、文雅、充分体现出求职者高雅的气质和高尚的风貌。四是较强的表演性。日常聊天时的口语对语音、语调的要求并不高，语言中的弱化、模糊和脱离现象经常出现。而求职面试时的口语既要求语言规范、清晰，又要求其语调富于变化，也就是说，在口语的表达上要求有较强的表现力，富有表演性。
