The Russia-China joint naval exercise, scheduled to be held from April 22 to 27 in the Yellow Sea of the Pacific Ocean, officially started on Sunday morning.

The drill involves a total of 16 vessels and two submarines from the Chinese Navy and fourwarships from the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet as well as three supply ships. The exercise will focus on joint maritime air defense and defense of marine traffic arteries, including subjects of joint escort, maritime search and rescue, anti-submarine tactics as well as joint effort to rescue hijacked vessels.

4月22日(上周日)，中俄海上联合军事演习在中国青岛附近黄海水域拉开帷幕，演习将持续至27日。
