代词用于表示时间

不少代词可以用作形容词，修饰表示时间的名词，构成惯用搭配。

last, next作为形容词，常用来修饰表示时间的名词。

[1]last表示“刚过去的”，“紧接前面的”。

比如：

last Monday上星期一

last week上星期

last month上个月

last summer去年夏天

last year去年

last time上一次

注意：“昨天某一段时间”习惯表达为“yesterday+名词”,

比如：

yesterday morning昨天早晨

yesterday afternoon昨天下午

yesterday evening昨天晚上

“前天”表达为the day before yesterday

“前……”常表达为“the+名词+before last”，

比如：

the week before last前个星期

the night before last前天晚上

[2]next表示“紧接着到来的”，常译成“下一个”。

比如：

next Monday下星期一

next Tuesday evening下星期二晚上

next weekend下个周末

next month下个月

next week下星期

next winter明天冬天

next year明年

next time下一次

表示“明天各段时间”常用结构“tomorrow+名词”，

比如：

tomorrow morning明天早晨

tomorrow afternoon明天下午

tomorrow evening明天晚上

但不可以说tomorrow night

“the+名词+after next”解释为“下下个……”，

比如：

the week after next下下个星期

the year after next后年，

“后天”可以表达为the day after tomorrow。

[3]every常用来表示“频度”，

比如：

We have a maths lesson every other day(=every two days).

我们每隔一天有数学课。

There is a bus to the town every three hours.

每三个小时有一班去城里的汽车。

We have a test every three weeks.

我们每三个星期有一次测验。
