Owners of one restaurant have left diners stumped with a mind-boggling Wi-Fi brain teaser.

It appears the owners of YaYa's Thai restaurant in Texas, US, have a strange sense of humor after putting up a poster with a mathematical equation for the password.

A photo of the sign was posted to social website Reddit, where users - even those well-versed in math - were equally perplexed.

Some users suggested the problem was a trick question, while others said the math equation appears to have several solutions.

The user who uploaded the photo promised to attempt some of the suggested solutions and report back with his findings.

It is unclear why Yaya's owners decided to make it so difficult to log on at the restaurant. However, some have suggested it could be that they became tired of people stealing the signal.
