女子藏203支孕妇血出境被查 收费带去香港做鉴定
Customs officials in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, have seized 262 blood samples of pregnant women from the mainland in four shipments destined for neighboring Hong Kong for gender tests.

Suspects caught said they were paid between 100 yuan ($14) to 300 yuan for smuggling the blood samples.

皇岗海关的一名工作人员介绍，一些父母希望能够在知道胎儿性别后，再选择是否生产。It's illegal to have prenatal gender tests for non-medical purposes on the mainland, so some agencies take blood samples from pregnant women and transport them to Hong Kong for tests.
出于非医学目的而进行胎儿性别鉴定，在内地是属于违法行为，因此，一些中介机构便采集孕妇血液样本，再偷偷携带至香港进行检测。Huanggang Customs said it will intensify checks against illegal transport of blood samples through a number of measures, vowing to end the "profit chain."
