In the first , curiosity can usually contribute to teenager smoking youth passing into adolescence always think of themselves as adults ,no more children ing with curiosity ,they want to try every new thing seeing their parents or playmates taking cigarette, they will try to imitate for considering it as a sign of being maturity.

In the second, vanity is mainly another reason. By some teleplays and movies, teenagers sees superstars whom they worship smoke, so they think it a modern, handsome ,and attractive behavior.

And above all, misunderstanding the harmfulness of smoking always could explain youths figure that smoking can take off tiredness, refresh themselves and relieve mental labor. Therefore, they want to reduce the study stress by smoking.

To sum up, the couses mentioned about must call for more of our

concern, and effective measures should be taken to cheek the trend.

As a college student, we all passed the college

entrance examination, but for now, there are fewer and fewer students attending that exam, for one reason that some of them think the vocational education is more important.

In my opinion, I would rather support the college entrance examination. The followings are my reason. First of all, the culture is extensive and

profound, the vocational education is limited, if we only receive the limited education, the other culture will be forgot, it's not good for spreading the culture. What's more, the limited education will lead to limited learning of us, nowadays, we should be a full development students, which asks us should learn widely.

On a word, the college entrance examination is most fit for us, we learn more through this exam, and find what we interest in and learn better.

Although we all believe that who have learned, there are obtained. However, as for summer makeup, I strongly oppose it. Then, Why do I say in this way?

On the one hand, most of our students don’t want to learn in the hot summer. It’s so difficult for us to concentrate mind on study in such hard situation. In the stove of Wuhan which has so high temperature, how can we survive in a month of severe fighting? Did not begin voluntary, how successful will it end? Students as learning subjects are not active, the effect of learning how could achieve the desired results with it? Unfortunately, there are some students who often skip classes, surely including me. Even, a classmate who go back home for the power failure in dormitory. Through a large number of facts, you can see students’ attitude towards summer makeup.

On the other hand, Most of the courses teachers taught are meaningless. The knowledge which you know, even if the teacher do not speak, you still know; The knowledge you do not know, even if the teacher, do so speak, you still do not know. Actually, it’s really true. In the oral class, the teacher is playing the game; in the appreciating class, the teacher is in the sermon; in the writing class, the teacher is doing useless work. On the contrary, many students

is playing mobile, reading novels, falling asleep. And I can not help wondering what will they gain on earth?But the only thing I may know is that I try my best to read some professional materials which will help for my next semester. So I could have a clear conscience without any regrets.

The above is my point of view of summer makeup. That’s all what I want to say at this time!

Today, It’s honor for me to give a small talk to everybody here. What I am going to talk is about professor John Cicardi’s idea of college education. Right, let's get started.

Nowadays, many college students hold the idea that non-major is useless to find job when graduated. Indeed, professional courses teach you some necessary professional skills which will be your income, and may it always suffice. The professor agrees that professional skills should be taught because they are necessary for making a living . Without them the students would not be able to keep themselves alive or raise family when they step into the social .

Supposing that the non-major courses like literature and philosophy is unnecessary for science students, so,why universities not as vocation school to open professional courses merely? Additionally, what is the differences between college education and technical training?

Professor John Cicardi takes the attitude that universities should give student more than just job

skills. They should also expose them to fine arts, music, literature, ideas of the great minds in human history. Providing not, you are on your way to being that new species of mechanized savage, the push-button Neanderthal. And as true of the techniques of mankind,so it is true of mankind’s spiritual resources. As the professor say, for a student who wants to be a physicist, the humanities are necessarily a gift; it offers you a life that you have not the time to live yourself, and it takes you into a world have not the time to travel in literal time.

The university, therefor, is not just a job-training school, but a storehouse of human experience in writing. That’s all, thank you!

As we all know, many parents send their children to college in order to make them take a good life. Because they believe the truth that knowledge can change one’s life. But many fresh college graduates are finding that it becomes increasingly difficult to find jobs. Their average salaries are falling below those of migrant workers, in some parts. So many people think that knowledge is no longer enough to change lives in today’s China. But in my opinion, temporary problems in the job market don’t mean knowledge is useless, on the contrary, it is still worth taking college education.

First, it is not knowledge which leads to the current problem of college graduates in today’s job market. One of the reasons for the problem is the over-expansion of higher education. In 1998, the universities began to enlarge the enrollment. In the same year, the number of students who entered into colleges was 1.08 million. In 2012, it was 6.85 million, which has increased fivefold. But with the improvement of productivity and production method, the demand of normal workers is decreasing. The conflict of supply and demand results the temporary problem. Another reason is the low quality of many Chinese universities. The structure and the content of curricula are unreasonable. Some courses are separated from practice. They don’t contains much useful and advanced knowledge. Moreover, many students are not well prepared to find a job and are confused about their future. A survey from the Talent Market shows that only 13% of the graduates have a clear aim of jobs. In brief, all of these, but not the knowledge, make it difficult for graduates to find a job.

College education is one of most important factors to social development. College education is to social development what water is to fish. Without college education, we can survive, but can not thrive. College education promotes the development of society in many aspects. First of all, college education has promoted the national quality. People become more civilized by education. On the one hand, people are more friendly to others the other hand, their speech and deportment become more decent while, education also make people’s life more harmonious ndly, education has promoted economic growth. Now, China has become the world’s second biggest economy. Vocational education has trained large number of qualified technicians needed in various specific fields, brought up large numbers of qualified labor-forces and make an important contribution to regional economy development. Last but not least, education has broadened people’s horizons and made people more connotation. People can learn all kinds of skills and read many books. This make people attain all kinds of data easily, especially about foreign datas. The book is the ladder of human progress s can broaden our views. So education is important to everyone so that everyone should not abandon it.

College education also has a significantly impact on the personal future life. On the one hand, quality of life isn’t just about making money and getting stable job. On the contrary, it means a good taste of life, a correct outlook of the world, the life and the

values. On the other hand, a person equipped with well education is easy to be a popular man which means the road towards success will be more smoothly. In addition, to learn hard to gain more knowledge also helps people find other pleasures in life and peace of mind. All in all, in the long term, education and knowledge which obtained from the college education can greatly improve people’s quality of life.

We can't deny the fact that education is power. It is useless only while being unable to use the learned knowledge flexibly in finding a job. Besides, college education can promote social developments as well as improve the quality of individual life. So it's obvious that college education is worth it.

Groups of bees work together to produce honey. Their great efforts are not selfish, however, as the amount of honey they produce is for an entire group rather than a single individual.

The drawing above suggests that people should selflessly dedicate themselvesto their community as a whole. This spirit of dedication requires faith. Selfless hard work is an embodiment of responsibility and strength.

The health of nations requires a spirit of devotion. Chinese teachers, doctors and athletes who all work for the benefit of their country, for example, aredevoting themselves regardless of fame or fortune. They are dedicated to the society they live within. No matter what type of job one holds, one should work hard and in earnest to improve one's community.

The results of dedication, however, depend not only on one's willingness to give but also on one's ability. If you are enthusiastic about devoting yourself to your country, but do not have the skills it takes to do so, you cannot effect much change. The more competent, one is, the greater one's contribution. Therefore, it is essential that students focus on their studies and enhance their skills in order to properly give back to society.
