这里的“a lot more ”指“多得多”；除了a lot外,英语中还有几个副词有类似用法：
例句:I have made a lot more mistakes than you have.
我犯的错误比你犯的多得多了.
Sound travels much and much more slowly than light.
声音比光走得慢得多得多.
It's much more convenient.
