go without saying 不用说

saying作名词，在此有“说话,发表言论”的意思,因此go without saying意为"不用说,显而易见”，即同于汉语中的成语“不言而喻”。

【对话】

A:Wouldn't you say that Lucy is a bright girl?

A:难道露西不是个聪明的姑娘吗？

B:Yeah. She got full marks for mathematics and English in the final exam.

B:她是很聪明。她期末考试时数学和英语都得了满分。

A:Her parents must be very pround of her.
