永别和再见，N句美剧流行口语教你道别
Goodbye ['gud'bai] 再见。最熟悉、最经典的道别方式。相对比较正式，在提交辞呈或恋人分手时常用。
【美剧实例】《豪斯医生》第一季第17集
Cameron: You’re abrasive and rude, but I figured everything you do, you do it to help people. But I was wrong. You do it because it’s right. There are only two ways I can deal with things. One is in my control. That’s to leave. Goodbye, House.
【来历】来自中世纪英语中的短语“God be with ye”，意思是“上帝与你同在”，在中世纪后期，缩略成了“Godbyye”或“”。
【演变】Bye bye. Bye. [bai] 是Goodbye的口语化，较为常用。还有wave goodbye表示挥别，kiss goodbye表示吻别。

【演变】Later. See you. 其中See you在实际语言流通中往往发生语音变化，从而成为See ya；在网上更是根据读音经常写成cya。使用频率很高。
Peace out. 走好。常用的俚语道别方式。可伴以相应手势。
【来历】peace在60年代逐渐成为道别语。而out则来自于双向无线电通信结束通话时的标准用语“over and out”。
【手势】右手握拳双击胸口，然后打出胜利“V”手势。
Take care. 保重。带有关照意味的道别方式。原本应该用于挂掉电话之前，但逐渐在关系亲密的人之间使用频繁。

toodles. 再见。女性或名人较为常用，男生如果使用的话可能会被有些人误以为是gay。

【来历】一说有可能是来自于"toot"这个名词，表示小号吹出来的声音，是舞会最后一支舞曲的终结；还有说源自于“I'm off 'to the loo'.”——“我上厕所去了。”

【备注】据说印度语原词salaam是再见的意思，英国士兵从东印度返回日不落的时候也带回了这个词，但他们当然发音不准确啦，就说成了so long，久而久之so long便成了常用的道别用辞。
Farewell. 源自挪威语

【备注】从维金人一支中发展出的英语，原词是挪威语“far vell”，意思是“一路顺风”。在英语中多用于正式场合，或者长时间的别离，或永别。
