今天主攻和Result有关的两个短语：resulting from和 resulting in

Resulting from：由……造成，由……导制的结果，from后面是造成该结果（后果）的来源，原因。作为动名词来修辞其前面的词：

Any damage to a book resulting from negligence must be paid for by the borrower. 由于疏忽而对书籍所造成的损坏应由借阅者赔偿。

My new book resulting from my inspiration makes a huge success. 我的那本来自灵感的新书大获成功。

Tom's failure resulting from lack of patience is a good lesson for us. 汤姆由于缺乏耐心而导制的失败给我们上了很好的一课。

He's got nothing resulting from his airy plan. 他那不切实际的计划毫无结果。

Tom's overweight resulting from overeating and stress brings much inconvenience to him. 汤姆因吃得多，压力大而造成的肥胖超重给他带来了诸多不便。
