61岁妈妈生下龙凤胎

Antonia Leticia Asti gave birth to twins just one week after her 61st birthday. The Brazilian woman and her husband Jose Cesar Asti struggled for years to conceive. Before the birth of their twins, the couple underwent three unsuccessful in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, and their attempt to adopt was denied due to their age. Despite those difficulties, their doctor Orlando de Castro said the biggest obstacle Asti needed to overcome was society’s prejudice towards older mothers. The happy parents’ baby boy and girl are healthy but are being monitored in the hospital.
