中国欢迎缅甸总统到访

China gave a warm welcome Friday to Burma's president on his first official trip since his country installed a nominally civilian government.

President The in Sein is due to meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao Friday. The two are expected to sign agreements on technical and economic cooperation.

Thein Sein arrived in Beijing Thursday for a three-day visit expected to deal with sensitive trade and security issues. He will also meet with Premier Wen Jiabao.

China's official Xinhua news agency said Thein Sein is accompanied on the trip by a dozen cabinet ministers and senior military officers.中国星期五给予缅甸总统登盛热烈欢迎。自从缅甸名义上的文官政府就职以来，这是登盛的首次正式出访。登盛总统定于星期五会见中国国家主席胡锦涛。预计两人将签订有关技术和经济合作的协定。
