英国外交部长打趣自己的中国媳妇！又秀恩爱了

Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt made a joke about his previous gaffe in describing his Chinese-born wife as Japanese during a message in Mandarin marking the Oriental New Year.

英国外交部长杰里米·亨特用普通话进行的东方新年贺词中，打趣了之前将中国妻子说成日本妻子一事。

In July 2018, Mr Hunt accidentally referred to his wife Lucia as Japanese during an official visit to China as Foreign Secretary.

在2018年7月的一次以外交部长身份对中国的正式访问中，亨特不小心地把自己的中国老婆说成是日本人。

While meeting his counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing, he said: 'My wife is Japanese -- my wife is Chinese. That´s a terrible mistake to make. My wife is Chinese, and my children are half-Chinese... they have Chinese grandparents in Xian. And strong family connections in China. In fact, we came to China on holiday in April.'

在北京会见外交部长王毅的时候，他说：“我的妻子是日本人，我的老婆是中国人，真是犯了个严重的错误。我的妻子是中国人，我的孩子们也都是半个中国人，他们的外公外婆都在西安，我在中国有很深的家庭情节，事实上我们在四月份的时候才来中国度过假。

Mr Hunt has been married to Lucia since 2009 and the couple have three children. Mrs Hunt was born in Xi'an, the capital of China's Shaanxi province.

亨特先生和露西亚在2009年结婚，两人育有三子。亨特夫人是西安人，西安是陕西的省会。

Welcoming in the Chinese New Year, from the heart of London's China Town, Mr Hunt said in Mandarin: 'Hello everyone, I'm Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.'

为了迎接中国的新年，亨特先生在位于伦敦中心的唐人街用中文说道：“大家好，我是外交大臣杰里米·亨特。”

Continuing in English he said: 'Chinese culture is one of the oldest and most important in the world. So in this year of the pig I want to say thank you for inventing paper, compasses, printing, rockets, spades, pottery and giving the world a most creative, hard-working and dynamic people including of course my wife who contrary to earlier misunderstandings is from China and not Japan.

接着他用英文说：“中国文化是世界上最古老，也最重要的文化之一。在猪年我想说感谢你们发明了纸、指南针、打印术、火箭和铁锹，你们是世界上最具有创造力，最勤劳，最具活力的人们，其中当然也包括我的老婆，她来自中国而非日本，这都是之前的误会。

'Happy New Year to all those celebrating around the world.'

“在全世界庆祝新春的朋友，新年快乐！”

He then added in Mandarin: 'Happy Year of the Pig.'

随后他又用中文说了句：“猪年快乐。”
