1. get one’s shirt off

释义: To make someone angry. (激怒某人,惹怒某人)

e.g. My father isn't in a good mood, don't get his shirt off.

我父亲的心情不好,不要激怒他。

e.g. Some men lashed at Mary’s sisiter atthe evening party, which really get her shirt off.

有人在晚会上抨击玛丽的妹妹,这可把玛丽惹火了。

e.g. A customer may get an employee’s shirt off and creates conflict, which makes the customer write to complain.

2. against the grain

释义:running counter to one's feelings or ideas (与某人的性格、感情,愿望或想法等)格格不入或相悖;背道而驰

用法:这是个副词短语,它通常与go,run连用,即:go against the grain,run against the grain。

e.g. It really goes against the grain to have to go into the office at weekends.

我真不愿意周末还要上班

e.g. Staying in bed may go against the grain but that's what you must do if you want to get better.

也许你不愿意卧床,但是你要想病情好转,你必须卧床。

e.g. Mrs. White is a gentle and warm-hearted woman. It goes against the grain to slander anybody.
