1. give it a shot
释义：To try something. （尝试着做某事）
例句：A: Do you want to try driving my car to see how you like it?
你要不要试试开我的车，看看这车如何？
B: Yeah, sure, I'll give it a shot.

I don't usually like hot tea, but it's so cold out that I gave it a shot today.
