【讲解】

weed常做名词，本义为“杂草”，当与out连用时，则变成了动词，就是“拔除”的意思，相当于get rid of，但是从另外一个角度来看，则带有“挑选”的意思，相当于select。

A:You should weed out good guys from the had when making friends in school.

A:在学校交朋友的时候，你应该从坏孩子中挑出那些好孩子来。
