around the corner 在近处

【讲解】

此语的本义为“在拐角处，在近处”，例如： There is a restaurant just round the corner from the house.(房子不远处有一家饭馆。） 其引申义为likely to happen soon(即将发生，在不远的将来），例如:Economic recovery is around the corner.(经济复苏，势在必行。）为加强语气，可在其前加上just，同义词组有 be about to, be on the point of.

A：The summer vacation is just around the corner.I wonder what you're going to do.
A: 暑假马上到了。你准备干什么？

B: Help Mum with the housework,call on a few friends,do some physical exercises and read a few you?
