in a roundabout way:拐弯抹角地,间接地,兜圈子

英文释义:not done or said using the shortest, simplest or most direct way possible

例句:
He told us, in a very roundabout way, that he was thinking of leaving.

savour of something:意味着;有点...成分,有点...的味道(尤指坏事)

英文释义:to seem to have an amount of something, especially something bad
