教学目标:

知识与技能目标

1. 能够识别地图,确定某场所的位置并正确书写;

2. 能够在购物场景中运用功能句进行交流,并补全购物对话内容;

3. 能够运用prefer表达自己的看法,进行简单交流;

过程与方法目标

1. 通过给同学挑选礼物,小组活动确定买礼物的地方,掌握识别地图和确定场所位置的方法;

2. 通过模拟购物对话,完成购物对话等活动提高学生的口语交际能力和自主学习能力。

情感态度与价值观

培养学生对家人,朋友关心关爱的好品质。

教学重点:

1. 正确描述并书写某场所的位置;

2. 恰当使用prefer表达自己的看法和喜好。

【解决方法】以谈论为同学买生日礼物话题,思考买礼物需要考虑的一些因素,转移到讨论在哪里买,通过小组活动,确定三个礼品店的位置,并进行书写。在针对去哪个礼品店买礼物,以及买什么礼物的过程中,运用prefer表述自己的观点,并在书写练习中针对prefer进行巩固练习。

教学难点:

1. 正确确定并书写描述某场所位置的句子;

2. 正确补全购物对话内容。

【难点分析】描述某场所的位置以及购物的对话对学生来说都不是新知识,学生在三年级和四年级就能够描述这两部分内容,但关键在于本课时出现的是新的描述方式,这对于学生来说难度较大。

【解决方法】引导学生发现自己四年级学生的next to等方位词的表述已经不能够准确的确定某场所的位置,从而通过教师的提问,学生找到描述某场所在某条街上的表述。针对对话部分,则是通过先让学生进行情景对话的窗边和练习,学生在已经有一定语言积累的基础上,完成对话内容。

教学资源:

运用多媒体创设故事情境,视频和音频,听力,小组交流

技术准备:

自制教学课件,教学光盘,不同层次学生的地图,处理过的教材图片,学生自我评价表每人一张

教学过程:

一、复习课文故事,考虑挑礼物因素(2分)

以思维导图的形式引导学生复述课文故事内容。

在故事思维导图基础上,总结挑选礼物应考虑的诸多因素。

T: Choosing a gift for people, we need to think about …。

S: For whom, where, what, how much is the gift and how much we have, why we choose this gift.

【设计意图】通过复习课文故事,引导学生回忆挑选礼物的过程和环节,并结合学生实际总结

挑选礼物考虑的诸多因素,为本课时给同学挑选礼物做铺垫。

二、确立主题,识别地图(18分)

1. 呈现11月份过生日的学生照片,确定为同学挑选礼物主题。

T: In our story, why do they choose a gift for Daniel?

S: They choose a gift for Daniel, because it’s Daniel’s birthday.

T: In November, our friends birthday is coming, do you want to choose a gift for them?

S: Yes.

【设计意图】通过对课文故事主人公为Daniel挑选生日礼物的情景,与学生的生活实际相结合,

确定为11月份过生日的同学挑选礼物的主题,为引出本课时的地图做铺垫。

2. 考虑挑选礼物的诸多因素,学生说出where之后,教师进一步追问在哪里可以我们朋友挑选礼物。

学生说出Shopping Mall之后,询问学生买礼物在shopping mall,你需要了解什么信息,展示

Shopping Mall图片。并观察shopping mall位置,板书展示which street is … on?句型。

T: We want to choose a gift for our friends, we need to think about …。

Ss: What is the gift? Hw much is the gift? Where we can buy the gift?

T: So, where we can buy?

S: In a shopping mall, in a store, …。

T: You say you want to buy the gift in a shopping mall, what will you think about the shopping mall?

S: What can I buy there? What’s the name of the shopping mall? Where is the shopping mall?

T: Do you know where is the shopping?

T: Do you want to know?

S: Yes.

T: What can you do?

S: …。

T: I have a map, here, now, the shopping mall is here.

【设计意图】

①引导学生从思考买礼物因素,去哪里买,怎么确定位置,由学生说出答案。培养了学生的自主学习能力。

②利用shopping mall的位置做示范,为学生描述更多其他场所位置做铺垫。

3. 描述shopping mall的位置之后,引导学生观察地图各街道,对park的地理位置进行描述。

T: Where is the shopping mall?

S: …。

T: There is first street, …。

S: Second street, …。

T: We see Redrock Avenue, so this big place is…?

S: Redrock Bay.

T: Who lives in Redrock Bay?

S: The BINGO Kids.

T: So we can see Ann’s house here. Which street does Ann live on?

S: She lives on the Third Street.

T: Yes, we will choose a gift in Redrock Bay.

【设计意图】

①引导学生观察地图街道名字,为描述场所位置做铺垫。

②确定为Redrocky Bay,之后回答Ann住在哪里做铺垫。

4. 分层练习于信息差活动结合,完善地图,并完成回答问题。

询问学生更喜欢在哪里买,过渡到三个礼品店的介绍。

T: We can choose a gift here, or we choose a gift in a …。

T: Yes, which one do you prefer?

教师和学生共同看礼品店所卖的礼品,礼品店名字等信息。并询问更喜欢哪个及原因。

T: You prefer shops, there are some shops here.

T: I prefer AJ Gifts shop, because I want to make a gift for …。 What about you ?

学生不知道礼品店位置,小组活动完善地图。并完成前3个问题的书写。

【设计意图】

①培养学生观察地图的能力的同时,运用Which street is … on?进行句型练习,为回答问题做铺

垫。

②小组活动适合不同层次的学生,体现了分层教学的理念。

5. 针对最终去哪里及买什么礼物,给哪个同学买礼物进行表述。

三、购物场景,补全对话(15分钟)

1. 运用shopping mall同一场景,展示处理后的对话图片,引导学生情景对话。

T: We may go to this shopping to choose a gift, there is a girl Jane to there, too. She is buying a gift, can you guess who she buys for?

S: Her mother, her friends, …。

T: Let’s look, she buys for her mother. If you are Jane, what will you buy for your mother? Here are many clothes here. Now, I’m the woman, who wants to be Jane.

T: Now, you can buy something for your mother with your partners.

2. 学生完成对话。

3. 听听力,学生核对答案。

【设计意图】

①学生首先创编购物对话,回忆购物用于,为书写做准备。

②教师示范,学生创编对话,制造小麻烦,丰富学生的语言。

四、写作练习,巩固prefer(5分)

1. 呈现对话部分shopping mall中还有shorts和jeans,过渡到本部分写作练习。

T: In this shopping mall ,there are also some shorts and jeans, which one do you prefer, wearing jeans or wearing shorts?

2. 学生针对所给选项进行讨论。

教学过程:

Ⅰ、Warming up

1. Play a guessing game. Show the letter s and have the children guess. (sweater shirt, socks, skirt, scarf„) Look at the letters and guess “What clothes? 帮助学生回忆学过的有关服装类的词汇, 适当的扩充相关词汇。

2.T:Now let’s see all the clothes. Please read them one by one. (Show the words of clothes.) Read the words one by one. 帮助学生回忆学过的有关 服装类的词汇。

3.T: Last class, We have leant a new story with Unit 4 choosing a gift. Do you remember some information?

Let’s go over the story. Give some questions for the children.

a. Who are in the story? T: Ann, Ken and Sue want to buy a gift for Daniel.

b. Where are they now for choosing a gift? T: Explain the shopping mall.

c. What gifts do they Read the story and answer the questions.

Ss: They are Ann, Ken, Daniel and Sue

Ss: They are in a shopping mall.

回忆故事的大概情节,熟悉本节课要讨论的话题,为后面的结构操练创设情景,做好铺垫。 帮助学生复习上节课的故事情节,引出并学习本节课的教学重点词汇及句式。choose?

1. Lead in.

T: Oh, children, Ann, Ken and Sue can buy a gift for Daniel’s birthday, when your mum or dad have a birthday, What should you do?

T:Today,let’s go to a shopping mall and choose a gift for them.

T: Daniel is a cool man, he prefers these sunglasses. Which sunglasses do you prefer? (Put the sentence on the Bb.)

T: I prefer those. Explain these and those.

T: Look at some T-shirts, I prefer this. Ask, Which sunglasses do you prefer?

T: Look at these pictures, all of the children are choosing some things, let’s guess, what are they talking?

a. Listen to this. First time, just listen. Second time, listen and number. The third time, listen and check.

b. Check the answers and read the sentences. Talk about these pictures. Listen and match Check the answers. 在做听力之前先让学生讨论一下图片要表示的大概意义,可以培养学生在听之前认真观察图片的听音策略。

Ⅳ、Complete the dialog.

T: Now I have a dialog about going shopping.

a. Look at the picture and guess, what does Jane want to buy?

b. Now, please try to complete this dialog.

c. Ok, children, Let’s listen to the tape and check your answer.

培养学生通过阅读,推断的能力,这也是阅读的一种策略。在通过听音来检查所填答案的正确性,既订正了答案,有培养了学生的听力策略(抓关键词)。

在此处理一段有关购物的对话,也为后面的学生创编对话提供了很好的范例。

V. Make a dialog.

T: Ok children, now, we can finish our task.

You can use these sentences in the dialog. For example,

此环节让学生自己创编一段完整的购物对话,是知识的综合运用和输出,培养学生说的能力,直接让学生做有一定的困难,因此,在此我给学生提供了一些语言 支持。

起到画龙点睛的作用。突出本课重点。

本次作业,我围绕本课教学内容,设计了两项作业,一项抄写类作业,每个学生必做,目的是为了巩固本节课的重点,还有一项是开放性的作业,学生可以选做。
