儿童英语故事:圣诞颂歌

There were two sisters. The older sister is very kind. She likes to help neighbors and bring happiness to them. The younger sister's name is Carol. She doesn’t like to help others. Their neighborhood is quite poor. So on Xmas Eve, the older sister decided to sing Xmas songs to her neighbors to cheer them up. This custom has carried on many years. One year on Xmas Eve, the older sister is too sick to sing. Her younger sister Carol decided that she would help. So Carol went to sing to the neighbors. And neighbors were surprised to see Carol and they all said” Look, it is Carol. Look, it is Carol.” This is how Xmas Carol began.

从前有两姐妹，姐姐人非常好，很喜欢帮助邻里，给大家带去幸福。妹妹的名字叫Carol，她不喜欢帮助别人。她们的邻居非常穷，圣诞节前夜，姐姐决定给邻居唱一首圣诞歌祝福他们。后来姐姐每年都会如此，形成了一个习惯。有一年的圣诞节前夕，姐姐生病了没法唱歌，于是妹妹Carol决定帮姐姐唱圣诞歌，当妹妹来到邻居们面前，大家非常吃惊，“快看!快看!那是Carol!”于是，圣诞颂歌的习俗就流传下来了。
