旧金山冷知识：旧金山人不能葬在旧金山

墓地在旧金山是稀有景观，现在市里只能看到两块很小的墓地，而且不会再有新的了，因为旧金山在100年前就禁止了土葬，目的是为了节约土地。

那旧金山人死后都去了哪？他们都去了南边一个叫科尔马 Colma 的小镇，这座小镇基本就是为了给旧金山做墓地才建的，现在坟墓的数量比活人居民多1000倍，到处都是公墓。

In 1901, the city outlawed burials due to space issues. Because of this restriction, only two cemeteries remain. Most of its cemeteries are in Colma, Calif. There, the dead outnumber the living by over 1000 to 1. Colma is a small incorporated town in San Mateo County, California, on the San Francisco Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area. The population was 1,792 at the 2010 census. The town was founded as a necropolis in 1924.
