奥巴马接受哈里王子采访 谈慎用社交媒体

Former US president Barack Obama has warned against the irresponsible use of social media in an interview by British Prince Harry.

美国前总统贝拉克·奥巴马日前在接受英国哈里王子采访时就不负责任地使用社交媒体一事发出警告。

In the interview, which is rare since the ex-president's stepping down nearly a year ago, Obama said that the irresponsible use of social media was distorting people's understanding of complex issues, and spreading misinformation.

这位前总统卸任近一年来极少接受采访，在这次采访中奥巴马表示，不负责任地使用社交媒体会扭曲人们对复杂问题的理解，也会传播不实信息。

Obama told Harry that one of the dangers of the internet is that people can have entirely different realities.

They can be cocooned in information that reinforces their current biases, he added.

他补充说，他们可能会被那些加剧已有偏见的信息所束缚。

"The question has to do with how do we harness this technology in a way that allows a multiplicity of voices, allows a diversity of views, but doesn't lead to a Balkanisation of society and allows ways of finding common ground," he said.

Obama's successor Donald Trump has been accused of overusing Twitter, and involved in a number of rows over his expressions in the cyber space.
