中国中车在澳大利亚设立亚太总部和研发中心

A subsidiary of Chinese trainmaker, China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC), said it had established an Asia-Pacific headquarters and a research and development center in Australia.

近日，中国列车制造商中国中车股份有限公司的一家子公司对外宣布，他们已经在澳大利亚设立了亚太总部和一家研发中心。

The Melbourne-based headquarters will help provide technology support for train design, manufacturing and maintenance in the region, according to CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Company in Northeast China's Jilin province.

根据位于我国东北吉林省的中国中车长春轨道客车公司透露，这一位于墨尔本的总部，将在设计、制造、保养维护上，为该区域的列车提供技术支持。

"The office will create more job and export opportunities for local train manufacturers," said Wang Run, chairman of CRRC Changchun.

中国中车长春轨道客车公司的董事长王润表示：“该机构将为当地列车制造商创造更多的就业机会和出口机会”。

The office employs 41 local workers.

该机构目前已聘请了41名当地雇员。

In November 2016, CRRC Changchun signed a deal with Victoria to build high-capacity metro trains worth $1.5 billion, the biggest metro train purchasing project in the Australian state's history.

2016年11月，中国中车长春轨道客车公司与澳大利亚的维多利亚州签署了一项协议，将建造价值15亿美元的大容量地铁列车，这是该州历史上最大的地铁采购项目。

CRRC Changchun has more than 18,000 employees and annually manufactures more than 8,000 trains.

中国中车长春轨道客车公司有超过18000名员工，并且每年生产8000多辆列车。
