韩国警方称找到岁月号船主尸体
The body of a fugitive businessman sought over April’s tragic ferry sinking was found last month in southern South Korea, ending a nationwide manhunt.
上个月，因今年4月的悲剧沉船事故而被通缉的在逃商人尸体在韩国南部被发现，终结了这一全国范围的大搜捕。Police said on Tuesday that a badly decayed body found on June 12 is that of Yoo Byeong-eon, the de facto owner of Chonghaejin Marine, the operator of the Sewol ferry that capsized in April, killing more than 300 people.
韩国警方周二表示，6月12号发现的这具高度腐败的尸体正是清海镇海运(Chonghaejin Marine)的实际所有者、世越号(Sewol，又译岁月号)运营商俞炳彦(Yoo Byeong-eon)。今年4月发生的世越号沉船事故曾造成逾300人丧生。Mr Yoo has been the subject of a large-scale manhunt by police since the ferry disaster, as Chonghaejin’s lack of investment in safety training and alleged breaches of regulations such as cargo overloading are believed to have contributed to the ferry sinking.
自那次渡轮事故以来，俞炳彦一直是警方大搜捕的目标。因为清海镇海运在安全培训方面投入不足，又违反了货仓超载等方面的监管条例，这些行为据信对渡船沉没起到了很大作用。
Prosecutors have been under fire for failing to catch Mr Yoo in spite of offering a $500,000 reward for tips about his whereabouts. They raided a religious compound in May – after a nine-day stand-off with members of the religious cult founded by Mr Yoo – to search for him in one of the most bizarre episodes in the aftermath of the ferry disaster.

Authorities offered a $100,000 bounty for Mr Yoo’s eldest son, while one of his daughters was arrested in France in May.

Also found near the body were a cloth bag, a magnifying glass and an empty bottle of a shark liver oil product made by his family company.
