职场英语日记 第23期:跟上安娜的脚步

I met Anna for a jog aroung the lake tonight. She was really excited because she met a really hot guy on Saturday night and he called her today to ask her out. As she was talking, I racked my brain but I could not remember him at all.

今晚我和安娜约在湖边慢跑，她好兴奋，因为她星期六晚上认识了一个很热情的家伙，今天打电话约她出去了。她一边讲我一边用力回想，但任凭我绞尽脑汁还是一点印象都没有。

She said he was watching her all night and then they dance a few songs just before we left. Then she told me that ghe was wearing a black leather jacket and I figured it out. He was the guy that wouldn't move out of my way when I was trying to get to the ladied room. I remembered thinking he was a jerk.

她说他整晚都看着她，我们离开前他们还跳了几支舞。她跟我说他穿着一件黑皮夹克时，我想起来了，就是那个我想去洗手间时不肯让路的人。记得那时我还暗想，那家伙真是个笨蛋。

Anyway, I didn't say anything to Anna because she was so happy and I know I can be a bit too judgmental sometimes. She gushed about him for the whole 5K.

不过我什么都没提啦，她那么开心，而且我知道自己对人有时挺主观的。她滔滔不绝地讲这家伙的事讲了整整5公里。

It was a great run and the time flew because of our conversation, but I caught myself feeling a little jealous. I don't want to be selfish, but it occurred to me that if Anna gets a boyfriend I won't have any single friends left.

跑得开心时间自然也过得很快，不过我倒发现自己有点嫉妒。不是我自私，只是我一想到如果连安娜都交了男朋友，那我就连半个单身朋友也没有了
