可怕! 美国沃尔玛售出了一盒过期21年的麦片!

A family in Colorado has proved why it's always important to look at the expiration dates before buying groceries.

近日，科罗拉多州的一个家庭证明了为什么在购买食品杂货前查看产品有效期很重要。

After getting home from Walmart, the Carelses — of Lakewood, Colo. — realized that they had purchased a box of Quaker 100% Natural Granola cereal that was more than two decades old.

在从沃尔玛回家后，住在科罗拉多州莱克伍德市的卡罗斯一家人才意识到，他们购买的那盒桂格100%天然即食麦片已经超过20年了。

Only problem was, they didn't notice until after they started eating it.

问题是，他们是在开始吃之后才注意到的。

"I had about two bites, and that was it," Andrea Carelse told Denver 7. Her husband, Josiah, scarfed down an entire bowl.

安德里亚·卡罗斯向《丹佛7号频道》透露：“我吃了大概两口，仅此而已。”而她的丈夫乔赛亚则狼吞虎咽地吃了一整碗。

"I just started eating and thinking, 'It just tastes funny. It must be OK,'" he said, noting how his wife had warned him to stop.

“我开始吃然后心想：'只不过味道怪怪的。肯定没问题。'”他说。然后才注意到他的妻子警告他别吃了。

"I was like, 'Josiah, you're going to be really sick,'" Andrea remembered.

Luckily for him, the cereal — which was dated Feb. 22, 1997 — didn't cause any problems.

"We just grabbed this off the shelf and yeah… 21 years old," Josiah said.

Denver 7 reached out to Walmart and PepsiCo, Quaker's parent company, for comment on the stomach-churning purchase. While Pepsi didn't respond, Walmart said it was looking into the incident.

《丹佛7号频道》随后联系了沃尔玛和百事公司（桂格的母公司），询问对此次令人反胃的购买事件有何看法。百事方面没有回应，但沃尔玛表示正在调查此事。
