女子将9100美元冥币存入银行 银行竟然当真钱收了

A woman who deposited 'Hell Money' to the value of 9,100 US dollars into a bank in southwest China's Sichuan Province and then withdrew real money from an ATM machine has been questioned by the police.

日前，一名女子将价值9100美元的冥币存入了中国西南部四川省的一家银行，然后从ATM机中取出真钱。目前该女子已被警方审问。

'Hell money' is made to look like the real thing, but is intended as a burnt-offering to the dead, so they can have currency in the after-life.

冥币看起来像是真钱，但是它是为了祭献死者的，使他们可以在来生有钱花。

The money deposited by the woman looked almost identical to real US dollar bills, but were overprinted with the words "this is hell money, not for circulation".

该女子所存的钱看起来几乎和真正的美元钞票一样，但是背面印有“这是冥币，不流通”的字眼。

It's understood that the bank clerk didn't check the notes carefully enough before accepting them and the problem wasn't spotted until the bank warehoused the cash at night, and took a closer look at the foreign currencies it had received during the day.

据了解，在接受这笔钱之前，银行职员没有仔细检查，所以没有发现这一问题，直到银行晚上将现金入库时，才仔细查看白天收到的这些外币。

The bank called the police who caught up with the suspects, who said they'd received the fake money from a man surnamed Li, who had committed a similar fraud.

该银行向抓住这名嫌犯的警方致电，表示他们还收到了一个李姓男子的假钱，他也犯了类似的欺诈行为。

After being summoned by the police, Li returned nearly 60,000 yuan or about 8,650 US dollars to the bank. The police are making further investigations based on information gleaned from Li.

在被警察传唤后，李某向银行退还了近6万元（折合8650美元）的现金。警方目前正在根据李某提供的信息进行进一步的调查。
