set about 开始去做（处理）

该习语是一种非正规的口语表达方式，它不能用于被动语态，而且set about只能跟名词或动词的-ing形式。例如：She lit the fire and set about making the soup.（她生了火，开始做汤。）

A:Where's Tom?

A:汤姆去哪了？

B:He set about his homework after school and hasn't finished it yet.

B:放学后他就开始做作业了，还没做完。

A:I don't know why the teacher assigns so much homework!

A:真不明白老师为什么要布置那么多的作业！
