投资失败! 王健林亏两亿卖西班牙大厦

China's richest man Wang Jianlin has lost up to 200 million yuan from a deal brokered in Spain three years ago because of a shift in exchange rates.

由于汇率变动，中国首富王健林于3年前在西班牙进行的一笔交易中损失高达2亿元。

Wanda Hotel Development Company announced last Friday it had sold its stake in Plaza de Espana 19 Development SLU to Spanish property company Baraka Global Invest SLU.

万达酒店发展有限公司上周五宣布，已将Plaza de Espana 19 Development SLU(西班牙大厦)的股权出售给了西班牙地产公司Baraka Global Invest SLU。

As a result, shares in the Hong Kong-listed Wanda Hotel Development climbed 1.45% to close at HK$0.7.

当日，在港上市的万达酒店发展的股价因此上涨1.45%，报收0.7港元。

According to a previous announcement by the company, the sale price was 272 million euros, which was higher than the EUR265m Wanda Hotel Development paid for the Plaza in 2014.

根据万达酒店发展此前发布的公告，该大厦的售价为2.72亿欧元，高于万达酒店发展2014年支付的2.65亿欧元的价格。

But because the euro has deprecated since then and the yuan has strengthened in the past few years, the company has lost out on the deal.

但由于欧元此后一路贬值，而人民币又在过去几年中走强，因此万达在这一交易中仍旧是亏损的。

As a landmark in Madrid, Plaza de Espana used to consist of a luxury hotel, a business center and a number of apartments before 2006. But it had been empty until Wanda took control three years ago.

Plaza de Espana曾是马德里的标志性建筑物，2006年以前，由一家豪华酒店、一处商务中心和多所公寓组成。但3年前万达接手时，Plaza de Espana已经空置。

After it was snapped up, the company planned to restore the Plaza to its former glory.

万达收购该广场后曾计划重现其往昔的辉煌。

However, a change in attitude of the Spanish government and strong opposition by local residents to restoration work put the plan on ice for at least two years. Eventually, Wanda lost interest in the project.

不过西班牙政府态度的变化及当地居民对修复工作的强烈反对，使这项计划被搁置了至少两年。最终，万达对该项目失去兴趣。
