Stock in Hanergy Thin Film has been dumped by one of the larger solar funds tracking the sector, despite the group’s shares not having traded in six weeks.

The off-market sales by Guggenheim Investments follow HTF’s dramatic plunge on May 20 when its market capitalisation fell $19bn, almost halving its value in a frenetic half-hour of trading in Hong Kong — one of the world’s biggest single-day corporate losses.

Trading was halted when the solar equipment maker requested a suspension pending an announcement, which has yet to be made. There had been no discernible reason for its sudden collapse.

A week later the city’s markets watchdog, the Securities and Futures Commission, confirmed it was probing the company. No indication has been given when HTF shares might resume trading.

一周后，香港股市监管机构香港证监会(Securities and Futures Commission)确认，正在对该公司开展调查。不过，该机构没有给出汉能薄膜股票何时复牌的任何信息。

Guggenheim, which operates three exchange traded funds that included HTF, said it had offloaded its stock in Hong Kong but did not give a price.

古根海姆旗下运营着三只交易所交易基金(ETF)，汉能薄膜也是其投资对象之一。该公司表示已清仓汉能薄膜在香港的股票，不过并未透露转让其股票的价格。

The last quoted trading price for HTF was HK$3.91, giving the company a market capitalisation of $21bn.

汉能薄膜停牌前的最后报价是每股3.91港元。以这一报价计算，该公司市值为210亿美元。

Guggenheim said that the company felt it was wiser to take the price on offer now rather than risk the shares falling further.

古根海姆表示，该公司认为，比起冒股价进一步下跌的风险，以目前报价清仓汉能薄膜股票更明智一些。
