职场英语日记 第50期:海豚

I just got home from my second day of sailing and I am exhausted, but happy. It was cold and a bit rainy this afternoon as we sailed back to the mainland, but I had a good rain jacket and lots od layers to keep me warm. The weather didn't bother me because I was so happy.

出海两天，现在刚回来。虽然累死了，但是很开心。我们的船下午回到陆地时，天有点冷而且下着毛毛雨，不过我有件很棒的雨衣，里面有很多层可以保暖。我太开心了，一点都不担心天气。

The best part of the trip was when we were about halfway across the strait and I heard a slapping sound against the hull. I wondered if we mighr have hit a floating log or something. But then there was more slapping and some splashing.

这趟旅行最精彩的地方就是，我们沿着海峡回来时，半路上听到一种很大的声音，好像有什么东西撞击着船身。怀疑是不是撞到浮木之类的东西，可是撞击声越来越多，而且还有水花飞溅的声音。

I went to the bow to investigate and saw a pod of dolphins swimming beside the boat. They were so beautiful! I have never seen wild dolphins before and I could hardly believe my luck!

我到船头察看，却发现一群海豚在那里游来游去。海豚真美!我以前从没看过野生海豚，真不敢相信运气会这么好!

The played games with the boat, racing with us and wearing back forth across the bow. Every so often one of them would swim too close and bump into the side or front of the hull. They were like children playing. Dad and I were both in complete awe.

它们在和船玩游戏，比赛看谁游得快，还在船头那边来来回回地迂迥前进。偶尔会有一些海豚游得太近，撞到船头或船身。它们像小孩一样玩耍着，我和老爸都看得目瞪口呆。

I feel so lucky tonight. I feel very grateful for all these good things in my life.

我觉得今晚运气真好，为生命中诸般美好献上我的感谢。
