职场英语日记 第35期:和西恩约会续

Well. I almost called Sean and cancelled our date at the last minute. I just didn't feel up to it. I couldn't think of a good excuse though, and I didn't want to deen rude. Then,realized that I was being stupid. Of course I would have a bad time if I made up my ming beforehand that it would be bad.

约会前最后一刻，我几乎要打电话给西恩取消约会，但突然又不想这么做了。一来我想不到什么好借口，二来我也不想失礼。接着我突然明白自己好笨，如果我事先就一认定约会会失败，那当然就不可能成功啰。

When he picked me up he gave me flowers--a small bouquet of red tulips, my favorite. I thanked him and told him I love tulips. He looked so pleased that Iliked them so much, I was gld that I made up my ming to give him a chance.

他来接我时，送了我一小束我最喜欢的红色郁金香。我谢谢他，并告诉他我很喜欢郁金香。他好像很满意我那么喜欢这些花，而我也很高兴并决定给他机会。

He seemed like a totally different perspn than when I first met him. He didn't just talk about himself this time, thankfully.

和第一次认识比起来，他好像完全变了个人。谢天谢地，他这回没有只一淡自己。

He asked me so many questions about me and when he talked about himself I was genuinely interested in what he had so say. I have to admit, I think I was wrong about my first impression of him.

他还问了我好多问题;等到池讲到自己时，我反而对他要讲的话真的产生了兴趣。我不得不承认自己对他的第一印象是错的。
