妻子不愿生二胎 男子爬上40米高压线塔欲自杀

A man was rescued from a high-voltage pylon after he threatened to commit suicide because his wife refused to have a second child with him, media reported Sunday.

据相关媒体周日报道，一名男子因妻子不愿生二胎，所以选择利用自杀威胁其妻之后，最终在高压线塔上被营救下来。

Zhang Guiping, 33, climbed the 40-meter tower in Lianhe village on the afternoon of January 13 and remained there for 16 hours following an argument with his wife over the matter.

张贵平，33岁，在和妻子关于二胎问题发生争吵之后，于1月13日下午爬上了莲荷乡内一座高达40米的高压线塔，并被困塔上长达16小时之久。

Police braved rain and unusually cold weather Saturday night to clear trees for a safety net below and called the local utility to cut power to prepare for what turned into an overnight ordeal.

周六晚，警方冒着大雨和极度寒冷的天气，将周围树木清空并在下方支起安全垫，同时联系当地供电部门切断电力供应以准备接下来整晚的救援工作。

Zhang and his wife already have a 5-year-old son. He had taken drastic measures because he was jealous that his neighbor had a second child, read the report. Zhang also suffers from mental illness and is partially deaf, police said.

据报道，张贵平和其妻已经有一个五岁的儿子。他在看到邻居家生了二胎后心生嫉妒，因此采取了极端手段。警方表示，张贵平精神方面有问题，听力也有一定障碍。

Zhang's wife and parents attempted to talk Zhang down from the pole. However, given the distance, rainy weather and his condition, Zhang did not hear his family's pleas, media reported.

张贵平的妻子和父母都曾尝试劝他下塔。然而，据媒体报道，由于塔高雨大，张贵平情绪又不稳定，所以他并未听到家人的请求。

Police remained on watch overnight and provided Zhang with food and water. An exhausted Zhang finally agreed to come down around 8 am the next morning. He has since been reunited with his family.

警方整夜都在旁观察，并给张贵平提供了水和食物。第二天早晨8点，耗尽体力的张贵平终于同意下塔。最终他和家人得以重新团聚。
