The family outing on Sunday was the first time that Kate, George and Charlotte have been seen in public since the royal wedding on May 19.

But it was a more relaxed Prince George and Princess Charlotte who were spotted out and about at the weekend.

Together with their mother the Duchess of Cambridge, they looked like a typical family enjoying a day in the sun as they attended the Houghton horse trials in Norfolk on Sunday.

Kate, 36, looked cool in a blue dress as she doted on George, four, and three-year-old Charlotte.

The 32-year-old Barber told the Daily Mail: ‘We were sitting on the bench having something to eat and I noticed this beautiful woman in a blue dress who had two kids with her and I suddenly realised who it was.
