CCTV broadcaster Luo Jing dies at 48

Leading news anchorman of China Central Television, Luo Jing, passed away Friday morning in Beijing at the age of 48.
Luo Jing was diagnosed of lymphoma in September of last year and soon quit his job to receive medical treatment.

中央电视台著名播音员罗京，因病医治无效，于2009年6月5日7时05分，不幸与世长辞。罗京是中共十七大代表，中央电视台播音主持人队伍的领军人物，《新闻联播》节目主播，中央电视台播音主持人业务指导委员会副秘书长、新闻采编部播音组副组长，播音指导。罗京同志在长期工作中，形成了沉稳、大方、庄重的播音风格，深受全国电视观众的喜爱。2003年，罗京当选全国十佳岗位能手，自2004年到2008年，连续五年被评为中央电视台最佳播音主持人。

罗京生于1961年，出生于北京，祖籍重庆。
