腾讯第二季度盈利同比大增47% 超出预期
Tencent, China's biggest online entertainment and social network company, has reported a 47% jump in second-quarter profits. Net income for the quarter stood at 10.9bn yuan ($1.6bn, 1.23bn pound), beating analysts' expectations.
中国最大的网络娱乐及社交网络巨头腾讯公司发布报告称，第二季度其盈利增长了47%。其本季度净收入为109亿人民币（约合16亿美元，12.3亿英镑），打破了分析人士的预期。Revenue grew at its fastest rate in more than three years, the firm said, climbing 52% to 35.7bn yuan. Tencent is best known for its messaging app WeChat, which dominates the local market.

Tencent has not attracted the same global attention as its rivals: Alibaba, with charismatic millionaire entrepreneur Jack Ma at the helm, and Baidu, the local equivalent of Google.
