1.max sth out

【原句】Whoever stole our credit cards maxed them out.(S06E12)

【翻译】偷我们信用卡的人刷了最大额度。

【场景】在丢了信用卡和现金后，Caroline打电话重新申请一张信用卡，而通完电话得到的消息却是有人将额度都刷完、重申卡没指望了，更没想到被刷卡地就是她们正在光临的店。

【讲解】

max sth out = to reach the limit of something, so that nothing more is possible

达到了极限，不可能再多。

max out = to do or have as much as possible of something, or too much of something

做得尽可能多（或过多）；拥有尽可能多（或过多）。

【例句】

The air conditioner was maxed out, but it still felt hot in the car.

车内空调已经开得最大了，但还是觉得热。

We maxed out All our credit cards.

2.sense a disturbance in my hair
