既然开篇说到跟“clear”有关，那我们先来熟悉clear的意思和用法。在这个句子中，clear是动词，意思是remove something that is unwanted or no longer needed from a place。是指（从某处）移走（不要的东西）。我们来看个例句：
They are clearing snow from the streets. （他们在清除街道上的积雪。） 从上面的这个例句中，表示“从......清除......”，可以用到短语clear something from somewhere。而我们的病句用到的是of，要将它改为from。因此，我们今天分析的病句的正确表述为：
They will come to clear the dead tree of the road.
当然，也有clear of的用法，可以表达同样的意思，但是clear后面接somewhere，of后面接something。例如：The land was cleared of trees.（地上的树已清除。）因此，我们今天的病句还可以这样修正：
They will come to clear the road tree of the land.
记住了，如果表述“从某处清楚某物”，可以用到短语：clear something from somewhere或者是clear somewhere of something。
