如何用英语领客入座[qh]
在餐厅门口受到热情友善的迎候会令顾客感到心情愉悦。一名优秀的迎宾员不只是把顾客带到座位上就完成工作，还应该在引领顾客的过程中，让顾客感受到其代表餐厅所表现出来的尊重和关心。下面就介绍一些相关的常用英文表达：[qh]
①见到客人应热情地表示欢迎：“Good morning/afternoon/evening. Welcome to XX Restaurant．”（上午／下午／晚上好，欢迎光临XX餐馆。）如果是常客，应该能够称呼出客人的姓氏，如：“Good afternoon．Mr. Smith.”（下午好，史密斯先生。）[qh]
②欢迎过后应询问客人：“Do you have a reservation?” （您有预订吗？）“How many in your party, please?”（请问有几位？） “Party of two?"（一共两个人吗？）。[qh]
③为客人引路时，必须配合其步速，走在客人两三步之前带路，并以手势礼貌地作方向指引，如： “This way, please.”（这边请。）途中若遇有台阶或特殊情况，应事先警告：“Mind the step．”（小心碰头）“Mind your head．please.”（小心碰头。）若容人带有小孩，应该提醒客人照管好小孩，如：“Please take care of your child．”（请照管好您的小孩。）[qh]
④若因餐厅客满而不得不让客人共用餐桌时，应事先征得双方同意：“Would you mind sharing a table?”（您介意与别人共用一张桌子吗？）[qh]
⑤若因餐厅客满而不得不让客人等待时，可以说：“I'm afraid all our tables are taken.”（恐怕我们已客满。）“Would you mind waiting for a while?”（您介意等一会儿吗？）并准确告知顾客需要等待的时间。如：“There will be about 15 minutes before your table is available．” （您需要等大约15分钟。）等到有空位时，就立即引客人入座，并向客人表达歉意，如：“We are sorry for the delay．”（很抱歉，耽搁了您的时间。）或者说“Thank you for your waiting．”（让您久等了。）[qh]
